This page explains what data this Codex deployment uses, stores, and processes.
Last updated: April 13, 2026
What This App Does
Codex is a web application for exploring mouse connectome data, reviewing morphology, and browsing analysis outputs. Some parts of the application require Google sign-in in order to read restricted Google Sheets data used by Morpho-Typer.
Information We Receive From Google
When you sign in with Google, the app requests your basic account identity information, including your Google account identifier, email address, and display name. The app also requests read-only Google Sheets access so it can load sheet-backed annotations and filter options.
How Google Data Is Used
Google account information is used to create and maintain your authenticated session and to scope cached sheet data to the signed-in user. Google Sheets access is used only to read spreadsheet content required for Morpho-Typer and related views.
Data Stored By The App
The app stores session-related Google OAuth data, including your Google email address, display name, account identifier, access token, optional refresh token, and token expiry time. The app also stores cached copies of Google Sheets payloads associated with the signed-in user to improve performance and reduce repeated fetches.
Logs And Technical Data
The service may log request URLs, timing information, errors, and other operational metadata needed to run, debug, and secure the app. These logs may contain IP-address-level network metadata provided by the hosting platform.
Sharing And Disclosure
The app does not use Google user data for advertising and does not sell personal information. Data may be disclosed only to the extent needed to operate the hosted service, comply with legal obligations, or protect the service from abuse or security incidents.
Retention
Authenticated session records and cached Google Sheets data may remain stored until they expire, are replaced, or are removed by the service operator. If you want your access or cached data cleared, contact the operator of this Codex deployment.
Your Choices
You can stop using Google sign-in at any time by not authenticating with the app. If you do not sign in, features that depend on Google-authenticated sheet access may not be available.
Changes To This Policy
This privacy policy may be updated as the application changes. Material updates should be reflected on this page.
